Experience
Irena Dimitrova is a Senior Manager with Grant Thornton’s Transaction Advisory Services department in Vienna, Austria.
She has more than 12 years of transaction advisory experience with Big Four providing deals support to Austrian and foreign-based clients, especially in Germany and CEE.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton Austria, Irena worked for the transaction advisory practices of EY and PwC Austria as well as for the audit practice of Deloitte Hungary and the deals advisory practice of KMPG Bulgaria.
Her primary areas of expertise are cross-border financial buy-side and vendor due diligence, vendor assistance as well as SPA advice. Most recently she worked on two sell-side VDDs with Target’s revenue of > €1.0bn each.
Irena has worked with clients in a wide spectrum of industries including logistics, packaging, sensor technology, real estate, power & utilities, pharma, online gaming, beverages, advertising and education.
Irena has worked on a large number of projects in countries from Central and Southeastern Europe, including Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkey and Russia.
Education and Professional Qualifications
Irena holds a MSc degree in Business Administration from the University of Vienna, Austria, with a specialization in corporate finance and controlling. She further holds a BSc degree in Economics and International Business from the Budapest Business School, Hungary.
She participated in a six-month exchange program at the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark, with a focus on international management and IFRS accounting.
