Experience
Helfried Schodl has extensive experience in auditing financial statements, in particular in audits of individual and consolidated financial statements prepared in accordance with national and international accounting standards.
His main areas of expertise are retail, textiles, energy, media, transport, and logistics. He also works in the financial services department at Grant Thornton Austria based on his experience as a bank auditor, as he spent more than eight years at the Savings Banks Auditing Association (S-PV), where he headed the department “Bank Accounting”, too.
Helfried Schodl serves established clients as well as start-up companies, especially in the area Software & Services and Life Science, respectively.
In addition to his work in auditing, he is active as a lecturer at various specialist training courses on banking-specific and accounting topics as well as audit techniques.
Publications/Memberships
Helfried Schodl is an active member of the expert panel for banks in the Austrian Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors (KSW), an author on bank accounting topics and a lecturer at various specialist training courses on banking-specific topics, especially at FH Joanneum Graz.
